Adiradh offers the ISA SCAR 10 Metal Oxide Surge Arrester Test Set, a portable diagnostic instrument designed to evaluate the condition of metal oxide surge arresters installed in high-voltage transmission and distribution networks. It performs online leakage current measurements without requiring the surge arrester to be disconnected from the electrical system. Moreover, the instrument measures total leakage current, peak current, third harmonic current and temperature to support arrester condition assessment.

The SCAR 10 uses a specially designed C 47-IS clip-on current transformer for leakage current measurement in environments with high electric and magnetic fields. Furthermore, its third harmonic analysis with compensation helps identify changes in the resistive component of arrester leakage current. The instrument features a backlit LCD display, automatic measurement range selection and battery-powered operation. Therefore, it is suitable for electrical substations, power utilities, transmission networks and industrial maintenance facilities involved in surge arrester inspection and preventive maintenance.
